New entry created with a URL link ignores the Template

  Hi

  The URL command

  dayone://post?journal=AM

  creates a new entry in my journal called AM.

  However, the new entry doesn’t have the default template that I get if I add an entry manually.

  I tried adding “&template=AM” to use my template called AM, but that doesnt work either.

  Is there a trick? (I couldn’t see anything in the documentation). Or is it not possible, which kind of defeats the whole purpose of a default Template.

  Hi, @karinkolbe!  There currently isn’t a way to use templates in the URL scheme. After creating the entry via the URL scheme, however, you can tap the paper clip icon and then choose Template to add the template after the entry is created. Can you see if that works for you?

  I’ll also make sure to file a feature request for using templates in the URL scheme on your behalf.
