Native Day One App on Windows
-
As a subscribed and daily user of Day One, I truly appreciate the seamless journaling experience your app provides. However, I would love to see a native Windows application to enhance accessibility and usability on desktop devices.
While the web app is helpful, a dedicated Windows version would offer better performance, offline access, and a more integrated experience. I believe many users like myself would benefit greatly from this addition.
Could you share any plans regarding a Windows app? I’d love to know if this is on your roadmap.
Thank you for your time and for continuing to improve this fantastic platform!

Hi @harinaralasetty,
Thank you for your feedback and for being such a dedicated Day One user!
We understand the desire for a native Windows app, and we want to let you know that your request has been passed along to our team for review. We track all feature requests, and our developers consider them for each release based on the volume of requests we receive.
While we can’t provide any specific timelines for new features at this time, we want you to know that we do hear you, and we value your input.

Any updates on this, is a native application for windows in the pipelines, or is it ignored for better mac development and low windows demand?

Hi @impr16
Thanks for checking in, and we are sorry we didn’t share the news when it came out, but we do now have a Day One Windows app! You can download it here:
Here are some documentation to get started:

This, ma’am, is native? It’s not even an electron application. It’s just a very lazy, poor, resource hungry, laggy, slow web wrapper, and even that is not done tastefully.
