Nasty Security “Bug”

  Hello,

  Has anyone encountered that bug where Security settings get reset? Namely:

  • Password protection gets disabled
  • App no longer locks itself after system inactivity
  • App no longer locks when sleeping

  It happened to me several times over the years. Last time was now so I decided to post: I just opened Day One on my Mac and I wasn’t prompted for a password. I opened the settings and they had been changed…

  Hello! That sounds frustrating. It is unexpected to have the passcode be disabled automatically. We will likely need diagnostics from Day One to investigate further. I have sent an email follow-up. Let us know if you do not receive it.

  Thank you, I got your email and I will reply. More than frustrating, it’s concerning, because I want to be able to trust Day One.
