My mac’s version is incompatible with the latest version of day one. Where can I download version 2023.14 without having purchased the app previously?
The solutions provided by Q&A didn’t work (the link indicated by it wasn’t where it said it would be).

Hello @juliafurtado4. Thanks for reaching out. There is not currently a way to download the app without having purchased it previously.
We do have a web version of Day One available at https://dayone.me/login that should work as an alternative. See here: https://dayoneapp.com/guides/day-one-on-the-web/getting-started-on-the-web
Let us know if you have additional questions!

I have a purchased Day one Classic and now is it causing my Mac book pro os 14 to heat up and use 99% of my CPU!!!
What are my options? Is the purchased app useless now? Honestly, I am not very happy about this. When I purchased this app, I trusted it would be updated for life as this is what a journal is for. I hope you have a solution for me and others facing this issue.
It seems the issue might be the reminder. If you got to settings and try to turn it off, you get the endless beach ball. you go to activity monitor and quit the program, it starts again!!!

Hi @2budgiez!
Day One Classic has not been updated since its retirement in March 2016 and accordingly, is no longer being supported by Day One Customer Support.
We recommend downloading the new Day One app, which is free to download and is a major upgrade. If you download the new Day One from the App Store, you can import your data from Classic. Please see this guide for our complete recovery guide for this retired product: https://dayoneapp.com/guides/day-one-classic/day-one-classic-version-1-recovery-options/
