Modify the color, background color, and font size of the selected text

I just paid for annual subscription and Im quite surprised there is lack of basic functionalities when it comes to formatting. Agree with everything mclifford973 says.

Yes, please add my vote to having the ability to change the color, size and font used. This seems so basic to be missing from your product.

How are we coming on the ability to change font colors and styles? I love many aspects of Day One, but this is a downfall. Any timeline on when this might happen? It appears many of your subscribers want these abilities. Might be a perk for paid users, if nothing else.

This is not something that is in development at this time, but we are still logging all request for this feature from all who request it.

What???? Not in development? I am surprised that these features are still lagging. I agree that they are essential for a full journal. I think if you don’t develop these features, such as the ability to change the color, size, font used and highlight colors, you will be falling behind other journal apps.

Yeah, it’s really disappointing. I just started with another app that does offer colors and many of DayOne’s other features. If I continue to like it, I’ll be switching. I was able to import all of my DayOne entries and attachments, too. I never thought I would say this because I love DayOne in almost every way, but lacking color is becoming a deal breaker for me.

@wangtianchenjerry 100%, this is at most a basic feature of a text editor.
Though I’ll admit the Color text in nots is sub-par at best for an Apple App. The background has a different color for any colored text and only a few colors to choose from. It needs another upgrade too!
