Title: UI Bug on macOS 26 Liquid Glass – Dark Mode Background Displaced
Description:
Since updating to macOS 26 (Liquid Glass), I’ve noticed a visual bug in the Day One app when running in Dark Mode. The dark background layer seems misaligned or displaced, which leaves a strip of the white background showing through.
Steps to Reproduce:
- Open Day One on macOS 26 Liquid Glass.
- Switch to Dark Mode.
- View any entry timestamp bubble.
Expected Result:
The background should fully cover the UI element, with no white space visible.
Actual Result:
The dark background is offset, leaving the white background showing behind (see attached screenshot).

Environment:
- macOS 26 Liquid Glass
- Day One (latest version)
- Dark Mode enabled

@warptrail12a51df562 Just wanted to let you know we’ve prepared a fix for the white background strip on the Day One macOS app. That will be available in the 2025.22 update, so please keep an eye out for that, and let us know if you continue to have this issue after updating.
Thanks again for your report!
