macOS app not syncing to iOS

  I noticed inconsistencies between my macOS entries and iOS entries. End-to-end encryption is on and the keys match. The Mac returns this error: DOSyncError.missingJournalEncryptionKey

  All versions up to date.

  What’s going on here? I’m nervous to just sync everything that’s in the cloud back down because I do have about a dozen or so local entries on the Mac. Help!

  I have exactly the same issue and cannot use Dayone anymore on my MAC

  Without sharing the key with us, is the encryption key present on any device in the following places?

  • iOS: Day One > Settings > Sync > Encryption Key
  • Mac: Day One > Settings > Sync > Advanced > View Encryption Key
  • Android: Day One > Settings > Sync > Encryption Key
  • Web: Day One > Settings > Account > Encryption Key

  Do you see an update on the App Stores for Day One? If so, may we have you update Day One on all devices?
