Mac: Photo drag and drop to journal stopped working on the last DayOne update

I’m a big user of drag and drop from Photos to my DayOne journal entries and that stopped working on the last DayOne app update on 7/30/24. Can this be fixed please? Soon?

This is something our developers are aware of and there should be a fix included in version 2024.17 of the app. In the meantime, we do have a couple of workarounds.
- You can drag and drop the photo to your desktop or somewhere else in the file system and then drag and drop it into the Day One from there.
- Alternatively, you can click on the paperclip/attachment icon to add the photo using that method.

Thank you for your response. Dragging photos to my desktop (which I try to keep clean!) works. But I have to say that this is getting tiresome. I seems like the updates break more than they fix. I know that DayOne is the app I use the most on my Mac, but I am constantly dealing with new bugs when you update the software. And I don’t sense any real changes over the years. I’d love it if your QA was better before new releases. This one is a major hassle.

I am sorry to say that this is still broken… Drag and Drop from Photos on the Mac still doesn’t work anymore.
It does work using the desktop as a relay : Drag&Drop from Photos to the Desktop and Drag&Drop then from the desktop to the app. Direct Drag&Drop from photos is dead whereas it worked two versions ago…
