Mac How to turn off previews when pasting in URLs.

  I expected Settings > Appearance > Auto Add URL Previews to control this, but I get previews whether the setting is checked or not.
  
  I don’t see another setting that seems to control this. Any suggestions?

  Does this happen with all URLs, or only with certain ones?

  If it’s specific to a few, could you please share an example URL (or two) that consistently shows a preview?
