Lost Day One 4 digit iPad passcode, reinstall did not solve the problem

Hello, I need help with recovering my day one account on my iPad. It asks for a passcode (4 digits) which I forgot, and even after reinstall, the same prompt shows up. Somehow it must thus be keeping my data, even though I check the box on removing all data when uninstalling. I checked iCloud, but did not see any data remaining there. I would greatly appreciate any help in resolving this issue!

If so, may we have you try reinstalling Day One once more and then restarting the iPad?
