Location set to always…battery impact?

  So in the app store description it says…

  Location: This app may use your location even when it isn’t open, which can decrease battery life.

  Yet I have seen the app tell me that it uses the same location information that my iPhone would already be gathering normally.

  So, if I set Day One to have my location always, how much of an dent is that going to make on my battery?

  We use Apple’s location services, so we try our best to optimize location calling at the same time Apple is calling your location. Many of our team members have Day One location access set to “Always” and have not noticed unnecessary battery usage, so we expect that it’s not going to make too big of a dent in your own device’s battery use either.
