Links to entries

it’s not a problem it’s a question! Rsrs
Why the guide ( https://dayoneapp.com/guides/tips-and-tutorials/linking-journal-entries/) says that the only way to link entries is through “copy&paste” entrie markdown? The url doesn’t link them? Because it’s at least functional. I copied the Url and did the clip thing in a word (don’t know to properly say that in english: copiei a URL da entrada e colei com o botão de links em uma palavra) and it worked. What it really mean by Linked Entries in the guide?
I’m using the android version (2025.14) in a samsung galaxy S23.

Hi, @camilatemqueestudar! I hope I am understanding your question correctly, but please feel free to correct me if I misunderstood. It looks like you are asking why copying the entry URL and using it with “Insert link” on a word works. Is my understanding correct? If so, that is expected.
Can you please clarify which part of the guide mentions this?
[…] says that the only way to link entries is through “copy&paste” entrie markdown?
“Copy Markdown Link” seems to only be mentioned in the guide as the best option when using an Android device. It’s not necessarily the only option, however.
All that said, please feel free to clarify your question further, and we will be happy to help.
