Landscape mode not working

I am on an iphone X – landscape mode stopped working. I have written to DayOne support 4 times in 3 days but I havent received an answer.
I have tried:
- Phone off and on
- check portrait lock
- search app for settings
- reset all iphone to default settings
Any help appreciated

This is affecting me too. It’s particularly frustrating when trying to view a fullscreen photo in landscape mode because it doesn’t change orientation.

I just want to be able to type in landscape… I’ll be very happy if someone can solve it.

Hi all! Landscape mode was removed in anticipation for a new feature. Fortunately, it is coming back! Stay tuned for an update on the App Store.

Is this the only way to get assistance from DayOne? I wrote multiple times to ‘Support’ through the app but i have got no response at all.
I have been using DayOne for nearly 10 years and have been using Landscape to type for all of that time – my fingers hardy fit on the keyboard in portrait.. I am finding this problem extreamely frustrating – I have reset my phone and all the annoying issues that goes with that – losing passwords etc etc etc,..and tried everything I could find as far as suggested solutions.
Now you tell me this was a feature removed by DayOne – ie not anything to do with my phone / set-up – this is incredibly annoying to learn.
Can you please advise if there is any way I can reinstate landscape mode and not have to wait for DayOnes next update.

If using a Day One Basic free account, the forums are the only way for support.
If using Premium you should be able to contact support within the app. I did a quick search with your email address and I do not see any other recent support requests.
There is not a way to manually reinstate landscape mode. This will need to be done through an App update which will be coming in the near future.
