Journal Locked

  I have day one pro on my phone and my wife’s phone so we can both add to our camping journal. The problem is that the journals are locked when showing on her phone.

  Any help?

  Hi Tim! It sounds like the device does not have the encryption key entered. As a heads up, we do not officially support sharing accounts across devices with different Apple IDs. We are working on a shared journal feature where users can selectively collaborate on certain journals.

  Without sharing the key with us, is the encryption key present on any device in the following places?

  • iOS: Day One > Settings > Sync > Encryption Key
  • Mac: Day One > Settings > Sync > Advanced > View Encryption Key
  • Android: Day One > Settings > Sync > Encryption Key
