Issue with Synchronization and Duplicate Entries After Merging Two Day One Plus

    I encountered an issue with my Day One Plus accounts. Originally, I had two Plus accounts, but for some reason, I merged the A account (logged in with Apple ID) into the B account (logged in with email). After the merger, I had more than the allowed number of journals for my Plus membership. To manage this, I moved all entries from the main journal of account A to the main journal of account B. However, I later found that new entries were still being added to the main journal of account A by default, not account B. So, I reversed the process and moved all entries from the main journal of account B back to the main journal of account A.

    On the Mac, synchronization did not complete properly. I then manually moved all entries from the main journal of account B to the main journal of account A. This caused an issue: the number of entries on the iOS side increased to over ten thousand, while on the Mac, it remained around eight thousand. I waited a few days, but the synchronization error was not resolved. On iOS, there were many duplicate entries. When I manually deleted over a thousand duplicate entries on iOS, I found that a few hundred entries were also deleted on the Mac, but the deleted entries on the Mac were not duplicates.

    Please help me resolve this synchronization error as soon as possible. Thank you.

    Since then, I haven’t received a follow-up response, and the issue of duplicate entries encountered after repeatedly moving entries to the default journal of account A&B remains unresolved.
    However, I noticed that the post has been marked as resolved. I would like to ask what the criteria for marking it as resolved are. Given the current situation, I can only understand it as being in progress.
