iPhone app Crash: Orientation between Vertical/Horizontal

  I have 2024.11 (2508) version.

  This version crashes when its orientation is flip between vertical/horizontal. I can’t exactly describe how it happens. Once the problem occurs, it hangs for a while, and at the end, it crashes. Mostly, when it hangs, it hung in horizontal mode.

  When capturing an important event, it’s somewhat annoying.

  1. How can I fixate the orientation? I don’t need to use horizontal mode.
  2. Please fix the orientation problem. This impact my journal capturing, especially when it’s in important moment, very disturbing.

  Thanks for reaching out to us at Day One about this issue when using the landscape mode on your device with our app.

  I wanted to let you know that, while we expect a complete correction of this to be included in our next update, 2024.12, our team did find a work-around that may help as we work towards that. The issue does not happen if you turn off predictive text on your iPhone. To turn this off, follow these steps:

  1. Touch and hold the smile emoji or the globe icon. 
  2. Tap Keyboard Settings, then turn Predictive on or off.

  I recognize this is not ideal, but I wanted to share, as it will let you successfully use landscape mode as we work to release a complete correction of the bug in version 2024.12.
