iOS App – Why is my music muted when I open the app?

I’m running iOS 17.2.1 on a 13 mini, app version 2024.2.1 (2466). I cannot force the music to restart when the app is open, and it won’t allow any music to play in the background while the app is open. I did enable mic access to transcribe but have yet to use that feature, and the music thing started before I changed the mic access.

Which app is being used to play music? Are there any entries open in Day One with video media in them?
