inline markdown rendering not working on android?

So I just started using day one on android and notice that inline markdown link rendering is not working properly.

I have this bit of markdown for a link in the middle of a sentences on one of my entries but it dose not render properly

    [this](https://youtu.be/KygpcZRVt5o)

I would have expected that to render and be converted to a link in the android app. instead the markdown stays unconverted. I’m also seeing the same with any heading syntax I type in the app. I have not tried any other markdown syntax like list but given that headings don’t work I will assume the same is true for list

PS: I write GH flavor markdown at work every day so I’m pretty sure is not a syntax issue like I post I saw here from 2023

Hi @jasanchezmontalvo! Day One on Android does not currently support Markdown in the editor. We have a custom editor on iOS and Mac that will convert Markdown in real-time in the app when typing, but this is not available on Android.

I would be happy to forward your request to the team for consideration. Please let us know if we can help you with anything else.
