Importing from Dabble.me

  Hi, I would like to start using Day One, but only if I can import all my previous diary entries in Dabble Me. Is this supported?

  I can export from Dabble.Me in the form a JSON file. But I understand Day One requires a Zip. I’ve compressed the JSON into a Zip and attempted to import but it does not work.

  Can you advise?

  Hello @footballsoapbox,

  Day One uses a specific formatted JSON when exporting and importing. The JSON import for Day One is really only for JSON’s formatted by Day One. Meaning, Day One will only import JSONs exported from Day One.

  All other JSONs will not work unless you try to format them as needed.

  We do have a number of different import options, though. Hopefully you’ll be able to take a look at those options and one of them will work when exporting from Dabble.Me.

  Each import method should have examples so you can see the formatting required to import.
