Importing data goes into a new calendar

I am running version 2023.18.1 (2429) on iOS 17. I am trying to import from a CSV file and when I do the entries are added to a newly created journal instead of the current journal. For my testing I’m working in a new journal named “test” so I don’t risk damage to my primary journal. I have the Premium plan.
I named my csv file test.csv and created a journal named test. When I import the test.csv file it creates a new journal called “test 2”. If I repeat the process it created a new journal “test 3”. It won’t add entries to an existing journal.
Yes, I could move the entries to the journal manually, and since I am only working with ~90 entries, that’s not terrible. But it should be able to import directly into the currently selected journal.

Hello @jasonclarkdbk. Thanks for posting! Importing a file will create a new journal by design. This is currently how the import function is built. We’d be happy to submit a feature request to the team for future consideration. Let us know if you have any other questions or suggestions!
