importing Calendars

Hello! On which device are you using Day One?
macOS:
Calendar access must be granted to Day One in System Preferences > Privacy & Security > Calendars > enable Day One. By default, all calendars enabled in the Calendar app will show events in Day One.
iOS:
- In Day One, go to the Calendar view, tap a date, and tap Events. This will show a button to Select Calendars. You can then choose the calendars for your Google account.
- At the end of the night, go to the Calendar view in Day One, tap the current date, tap Events > and you can add all events to an entry.

thanks for the answer, I did it, but… I meant all the events from my calendar, even the old past events! Is that possible?

Hello @marts57
How about Outlook calendars? I don’t use the iOS/MacOS Calendar app.
The only way to do this now is to enable the Outlook calendar in the Calendar settings on the device. Once the Outlook calendar shows events in the Calendar app, they can be imported in to Day One on the Today view.

Hello again, @amelchi!
I meant all the events from my calendar, even the old past events! Is that possible?
There is not a way to import all past events automatically. Once you connect the calendars, you can change the date in the Calendar view, and you should see the events appearing on the respective dates. Then you can create entries based on those events on past dates. Will that help?

@amelchi You can import data using CLI if you are familiar with creating scripts: https://dayoneapp.com/guides/tips-and-tutorials/command-line-interface-cli
