Import from Diaro

  Greetings !
  I’ve started to look at using Day One as my journaling app on iPad and Mac, over the past few years I’ve been using Diaro. I would like to import my Diaro entries. There are instructions on how to that for Android but not any of the Apple platforms. Before signing up for a Premium subscription, I was hoping to find out if importing from my old app is possible. Copying and pasting few hundred entries would be less than fun. Thanks.

  Hello @7r67kmyymr! Thanks for your consideration. We do not currently have an option to import from Diario on iOS or Mac, but we do have that functionality on our Android app. Do you have an Android device by chance? https://dayoneapp.com/guides/day-one-for-android/importing-to-day-one-android. Once imported into Day One on Android, you can sync the data to Day One on iOS and Mac with the Premium subscription.

  Let us know if that will work for you. If not, we’d be happy to submit a feature request for additional import options on iOS and Mac.

  Hey James, I’ll see if my wife’s Amazon Fire Tablet will load Day One, it’s the only device we have that is most Android like. Thank you for your reply.
