Import from Daylio
-
I’m having a heck of a time figuring out how I can get my journal entries over from Daylio to DayOne.
In Daylio I have the options of exporting my entries via PDF or CSV. I’ve exported them with CSV and then restructured them to JSON files for DayOne, but haven’t been able to get it to work. I’ve also tried making them plain text and importing them to DayOne, but no success here either.
Anyone have any advice?

Hi @kchrist8,
How exactly are you transforming Daylio files into CSV?
If you haven’t already done so, I recommend finding an example CSV file here, which you can use to compare with what Daylio exports from their app:

You may also want to reach out to the developers of Daylio to see if they offer any other export options that could be imported into Day One.Please note: the date format needs to be the same format as your computer. For example, if your computer uses
dd/MM/yyyy HH:mmformat, you should follow it.We have an example tutorial guide for converting a text file from one platform to fit Day One’s import style, from a fellow Day One user here as well: https://daviddaniels.com/convert-lifecraft-rtf-files-to-day-one-txt-a-step-by-step-guide/
I hope that helps!
