How to save old journals created without registered account

Hi, I am using Dayone app without having account in Dayone, now I plan to upgrade and I created an account in Dayone website. How to ensure that if I logged in to Dayone app in my iPhone my old journals won’t be deleted/removed/disappeared

To clarify, you see all journal data in the app now? If so, creating an account will not delete any content in the app. Once an account is created, and you sign in, your data will back up to Day One Sync. https://dayoneapp.com/guides/day-one-sync/secure-cloud-backup/

My plan is normal, the journal data available in the app. and the account was created from the web. I am afraid if I sign in in the app, the data of the new account is reflected only without the journal data entered before creating the account. If by any chance the old journal data got lost in the normal plan how can you help me to restore it

Thanks for clarifying. By signing in to the app, your data will upload to the web app. It won’t be replaced by an empty journal.
If you would like to take an extra precaution before signing in to the app, please make a JSON export from the app first: https://dayoneapp.com/guides/tips-and-tutorials/exporting-entries. JSON exports are full backups of your data and can be re-imported if necessary.
