  Hi
  
  I’m worried that my account is not fully encrypted and I want it to be so only I can read it 
  
  I’ve seen the update to your policy and i just want to make sure that my journal is personal to me, completely confidential to me only and will not and cannot not be viewed by Anyone
  
  Pls can you help

  Hello! 👋 Thanks for reaching out. Protecting your data is a top priority for us. You can check the encryption settings for each journal in the app. Depending on the device you are using, you can check the encryption settings:

  • macOS: go to Day One > Settings > click the Journals tab > click the i next to each journal > check the encryption setting
  • iOS: go to Day One > Settings > Journals > tap the journals > Advanced > check the encryption setting
  • Android: go to Day One > Settings > Journals > tap the journals > see if “End-to-End encryption” is On.

  If any journal is not set to end-to-end, you can enable it. If enabling encryption manually on previously synced journals, the standard encrypted journal is deleted from the server and new encrypted entries are uploaded from the device that turned it on. Please allow the sync process to complete before making changes on this or other devices. https://dayoneapp.com/guides/settings/how-to-set-up-end-to-end-encryption/
