Help finding encryption key

  I am using Day One from my Windows 11 laptop. I had to clear my cookies recently and now my encryption information is gone. When I go Settings>Add your encryption key, I get the message below. I had no idea it had downloaded a .pdf and I don’t know where it saved it and under what filename.

  I’m glad to hear you were able to find it!

  For anyone that may come across this thread in the future, though, you can find your encryption key in the following locations within the Day One app:

  • iOS: Day One > Settings > Sync > Encryption Key
  • Mac: Day One > Settings > Sync > Advanced > View Encryption Key
  • Android: Day One > Settings > Sync > Encryption Key
