Headline photos full width again?
-
I used to use DayOne a lot, then went away for a few years, and I’m thinking about coming back to it now. One thing I miss on the new version is headline photos spanning the whole width. I want to upload a couple of photos to show you what it used to look like, and what it looks like now, but apparently cannot?
If I try to draw a picture with words, DayOne used to have the headline picture appear edge to edge at the top of the page with the title and other text appearing below it. There was a nice animation as you scrolled down, with the headline image gradually being covered by the text area.
Now it seems that images just appear in line with the text, in quite a clumsy fashion.
Am I missing a way to make images into headline photos? If that has gone, could you add that to your feature list for bringing back as an option?

Hello @nalexwhite! Thanks for posting.
It sounds like you may be describing the entry view design from Day One Classic (version 1; March 2011-February 2016). Does that sound right?
If so, we do not have plans to have this design in the current version of Day One.

That is what I’m describing. It was a really great view for the diary entries, and much better than the current one which doesn’t feel nearly as integrated. Why were full width images removed?
If you have a ‘customer requested features’ list, would you be able to put it on the list for me? Even as an optional setting it would be great to have that feature back again.

Hi @nalexwhite,
Your feedback about wanting the full-width images feature back has been duly noted.
We have an open request for that feature and I have added your comment as a vote for it.
