Feature request Add Voice Memo’s

I want to be able to add voice memo’s to my journal, these might be recordings I make on a walk or of a conversation. Right now I have to export the audio file from voice memo’s and then import them into Day One which is a bit of a faff. I would like to be able to add memo’s just like Photo’s or Video’s

Hello! Thanks for your message. Are you using Day One on iOS? If so, you can tap the More button (•••) at the top right of a Voice Memo, then tap Share > Day One. This will save the audio to a Day One entry. Will that help?

Yes that sort of works, but I can’t choose the day, it always adds them to today’s journal.

We can definitely submit a feature request to see if those memos can be added to Day One on the date they were created.
As for now, the best thing would be to change the date manually after sharing to Day One.

The other thing you can do is record in Day One directly although the recordings will be mono and not stereo like are created in Voice Memos. Not a great solution, but wanted to suggest it as it potentially solves the date problem as you would effectively create the entry before adding the audio.
