Equations

  Hi,

  I am a long term user of day one (plus status) and currently I have a journal that I use as a logbook for my work as a research scientist. It gives me exactly what I need but the equations. I would like to be able to add equations sometimes to my entries but markdown does not work in this case. I would be nice to have something similar to the way that one can add equations via markdown in Jupyter Notebooks.

  A clarification as I don’t think I have expressed what I mean by “equations”. What I would like is to be able to type inline equations in latex style that eventually render to a proper looking latex equations. One example of what I mean is in here
