Entry with URL editing other text acts like the “over” mode
-
When I have a DayOne entry with a URL in the text, and I attempt to type in front of other text that is already present, it overwrites that other text as if I have hit the “insert” key on my keyboard to change the mode to “overwrite” rather than “insert”.
Observe this in the screen recording GIF: -
It’s not letting me attach the GIF. It says “Sorry, you are not allowed to create posts as this user”. Which is clearly not correct.

was there any success here? I’m having the same problem. Chromebook and Windows laptop. Not always with a link involved. I seem to be somehow toggling on the overwrite function, with no knowledge of how to turn it off.

Hi @crysmys12, thank you for your report and specifying the device/environment.
I can reproduce this issue on my end for the Web / Windows apps. I have filed a report on your behalf so our development team can investigate and find a fix.
Please be on the lookout for future updates of the app for the fix! Thanks,
