    Sometime in August of 2022, i moved my journal from my Ipad into my iphone and i made sure that all my entries were synced. i vividly remember the “last synced” confirming its safe. Then i moved it into this phone, i remember it was the new update where it allows only one device for Day One for basic users, and that i cant move journals until 30 days have passed. when i entered Day One on my iphone, all my entries were gone. i panicked but then understood that it’s probably a premium user thing to get your past entries into a new device.

    i used day one normally until today, i had a very important entry that i had on my Ipad, and so i planned on moving my journal there to get it. I checked the sync and im absolutely sure it was synced up to the latest entry time and date. Add to my confirming months ago, that i synced all my entries on my ipad before transferring. i expected to find my past journals i made on my Ipad to be there, but all i found was Day One essential guide. i was terrified. to add more context, I have lost my Apple ID before and im very wary of saving everything into my primary email and not my Apple ID incase something like that happens again. Fortunately i was thinking of using non Apple devices in the future, so i’ve signed in into Day One using my primary email, not Apple ID since the start.

    Im a minor so i cannot have a card yet to pay for premium, but Day One is the only app or service that im 100% i will pay for once im able to, long before the “one device only” update happened. i have put important stuff in there, and of course, my daily days. Every time i sync it confirms to my sync and states “the last synced” to when i clicked on the sync button, but now i see this is not the case. i have over 5GB of storage on both devices (both has over 5GB vacant on their own) so why cant i find my entries? if there is a way to get my entries back, please contact me. the information i need is vital and i need it before the 30th of June. im afraid if this problem might stay until i pay for premium, then i cant find my entries then. i hope that doesnt happen. i thank you for all the amazing utilities Day One have offered and i have gladly used. i hope there is a solution for this.
