Encryption Key Not Syncing To iCloud

  I’m using DayOne on iOS/iPhone and it tells me that the encryption key to my journal is not backed up to iCloud. When I click on that option manually, the button bar is resistant and flickers, and the warning status doesn’t change- it doesn’t back it up to iCloud. Now what?

  Hello! We’d love to help.

  Can you check the iCloud Drive settings on all devices? See here: 

  – iOS: Go to your device Settings > tap your name at the top > iCloud > scroll down and see if iCloud Drive is on > then below that, see if Day One is turned on there. 

  – macOS: go to System Preferences > Apple ID (or it may say iCloud) > iCloud Drive “Options” > is Day One checked in there?
