They ask me for an encryption key to ensure more synchronization, but at no time do I have any and I do not know what to do because it is not provided from the app.
thanks in advance

I don’t have a specific, actionable answer to your problem, based solely on the information provided. But here are some questions that—if you answer them—could help a support person more readily point to a solution.
First, when does this error occur? What were you doing that triggered that error. For example, were you in the Settings dialog and attempting to turn synchronization on?
Second, do you have a Premium subscription?
Third, if you do have a subscription, have you always had synchronization on? Has it worked in the past?
Last, was there a change in your system at which time this problem started? For example, did it start after you installed a Day One update?

Hi there, @thoroughlypapereb9f1de774! It sounds like you may have lost an encryption key.
If you’re not sure if you have a key, you can look for it in the app in the following places:- iOS: Day One > Settings > Sync > Encryption Key
- Mac: Day One > Settings > Sync > Advanced > View Encryption Key
- Android: Day One > Settings > Sync > Encryption Key
- Web: Day One > Settings > Account > Encryption Key
