Enable tagging with hashtag (#) when tag includes special characters and spaces
-
As far as I can tell, it is not possible to use the ‘#’ method for applying tags to entries—i.e. typing “#…” within the body of an entry—when the tag either (1) contains a space (e.g. tag “To Do”) or (2) when the tag contains a special character (including emojis; e.g. tag “
Done”). I am wondering if I have overlooked such a method to do this, and if not, if I might submit a feature request to enable tagging in this manner—e.g. by typing “#{ tag with spaces}”. I believe this is a necessary feature because tags themselves are allowed to have these properties, but then they are inaccessable with hashtags in entry bodies. This leaves a fundamental gap between two aspects of tagging functionality, and for me, has meant that as I have adopted the method of using ‘#’ within entry bodies for tagging, I have needed to convert all of my tags to snake case (i.e. #tag_with_no_spaces)—and emojis are unusable altogether. Thanks!

Hello @robbycostales!
This is a great idea! I’ll get this passed over to the team for future consideration!
