drilling down with filters

I use some tags on more than 1 journal and would like to filter that tag but exclude one or more of the journals. (ios) I tried using a tag to identify the journals but the “any” or “all” failed when further journals and tags were involved.
Instead of “any” (boolean OR) or “all” (boolean AND), a boolean AND & NOT are needed. for example +tag1 +tag2 -tag3
Another solution would be a filter to select multiple journals, as you can on macos.
I trust my memory of boolean is not too flawed
