DO freezes then crashes when adding text above uploaded image on MacBook Pro

  I am having a (replicable) problem when typing text above an image loaded from Apple Photos in DO. I add the image and when after typing a few lines I get the beach ball cursor and the app crashes on my MacBook Pro. If I reopen I can add a bit more text, but then the same thing happens. I think this has only started happening since the most recent update.

  I am using version 2023.23.1 (1521).

  Hi, @christweeddbec2bf432! Can you please update to 2023.24 and let us know if the issue persists? If it does, please also let us know your MacBook Pro’s OS version.

  I am currently using 2023.26 and the problem persists. I am using MacOS Ventura 13.6.2. I can send you the crash log privately if you need more information.

  Update on above: I just had the same thing happen even before I started to enter any text. It froze immediately after I imported a photo from the Apple Photo Library browser.

  Hi @christweeddbec2bf432. That is frustrating that the issue persists after these recent updates.

  To confirm the steps to reproduce, please correct us as needed:

  1. Create new entry
  2. Click the paper clip icon > Do you use Browse Files or Add Media From Today?
  3. Once added, do you click to place the cursor above the text?
