Different locations changing names together

    In my location history, there are a number of locations on a specific day that I accidentally selected the same location from. Now, I can’t change them individually, because they all change their location names together. I’ve already tried unchecking the “Auto-apply Point of Interest” setting, that didn’t do anything. I’ve tried to include a photo but it keeps telling me I’m “not allowed to create posts as this user.” To describe the image, it’s just my location history on this day, and the entries from 12:18-3:46, 5:09-5:16, and 8:15-8:36 should be three separate locations, but when I try to change them back to reflect this, they all change together.

    Hi there. It sounds like all three entries use the same custom named location, and you may just be changing the name of that saved location rather than changing the location of each entry.

    When you edit an entry, tap on the location, then Edit Location, then instead of tapping “Add custom place name”, select a new location, either by long pressing on the map, or choosing from nearby locations. That should update the location of the current entry, without affecting any others.

    I don’t think I’m changing the custom place name, I haven’t pressed that button at all. Here’s a screen recording, I tried long-pressing like you said instead of selecting from the list like I have been doing but that didn’t change anything. I still can’t embed anything, so I uploaded it to Imgur.
