Diary/journal archive

Sometimes my journals include my musings on current events, and they might be interesting for future historians (thinking fifty/hundreds of years down the line). It’s not that they have literary value, but they show how a person living through stuff like Covid/Ukraine war/whatever was thinking about it at the time.

With that in mind, are you guys (i.e. Day One/Automattic) considering something like https://thegreatdiaryproject.co.uk/ or https://diaryindex.com? I would very happily donate my diaries to one of these (posthumously, mind you) but since they’re not written on paper and they’re too big to print (we’re talking over 10k entries and I am hoping to live for a few more decades) that limits my options a lot. However, if Automattic partnered up with a similar project (or make their own!) to allow us to donate our digital journals if/when we choose to, that would be so interesting and potentially useful from a historical point of view.

Alternatively, I am not aware of any such project accepting digital journals, does anyone else know of any?

    Thank you.
