Hello siglinde,
Thanks for posting! Markdown tables are no longer supported in Day One. They don’t work well across all platforms and did not render in PDF exports/book printing.
May I ask, how would you use tables in Day One entries? We’d be happy to submit a feature request for native support of tables for future consideration.

I primarily use tables for tours… hiking, biking …
| Angaben zur Tour | |
| — | — |
| ca. 31,2 Kilometer | Tourlänge |
| ca. 106 Meter | Anstieg |
| ca. 106 Meter | Abfahrt |
So now i have to find a new way to display this clear.
Thanks

Thanks for sharing that with us! I’ve gone ahead and forwarded this along to our team as a feature request. I can’t offer an estimated timeframe or confirm that they will be implemented again, but hopefully our developers will consider it soon.

+1 to the above, i.e. I would also like the tables back please if possible (or a nice alternative to them, although I can’t think of one right now). I have a lot of tables in past entries, and they’re rather hard to read now that they’re markdown-only.

I have spent quite a bit of time trying to get this to work, not knowing it is no longer supported. It is a disappointing oversight not to let customers know. As others have said please reinstate this feature as I have many enries that feaure a markdown table.
Many thanks.
