Day One Stuck On Downloading On iPhone
-
I’m not sure if I should be contacting Day One or Apple, but my Day One app has been stuck on Loading for days now. I tried clicking the prioritize download option, nothing. When I go to the App Store the app says OPEN like it’s done downloading, but when I click OPEN, nothing happens. When I try to open it from the Day One website, it gives me this error message:
Cannot Connect to
App Store
The request to open
“com.bloombuilt.dayone-
ios” failed.
It doesn’t even give me the option to delete it, only to remove it from my Home Screen (it will still be in my App Library). So I can’t delete and redownload which I feel is what I need to do. I paid for the yearly subscription so I’m kind of upset I haven’t been able to use it. Anyone have any suggestions as to what to do? I am using an iPhone 15 pro max. I don’t have my user ID or anything support asks for because I can not access the app. TIA

Hi @tdt6fkjr6y,
Glad to hear your issue was resolved!
For those coming across this thread, there’s an outstanding issue on Apple’s end where app downloads get stuck, affecting other apps beyond Day One.

If your iPhone is stuck on downloading, it might be worth checking your network connection or restarting the device to see if it resolves the issue. However, if you’re looking for a device upgrade that offers seamless downloads and incredible performance, the Samsung S23 Ultra might be worth considering. With its powerful hardware and optimized software, it’s designed to handle downloads and multitasking effortlessly, making it a great alternative for anyone facing persistent issues.
