Darken quotes

I don’t really understand the purpose of making blockquotes such a light grey. I would like my quotes to stand out more, not less. The formatting bar on the left does help distinguish the quote from the main body of text, but it also tends to make it recede visually.

In addition, this light color is exceeding difficult to read for anyone like me who has vision issues, and isn’t even improved significantly by enlarging the text. I’m surprised no one else has requested this. Thank you for your consideration.

Thanks for your feedback, @sharoneyp! I’d be happy to submit your request to our design and development teams for future consideration!

    Hello Staff James,
PREMIUM member here, I have been using this for a long time too.

Every time when i need a quotation I work around this by “Quoting It Myself”
and using the Headlines or Bold to make it stand out.

This doesn’t make sense, please change this to a slightly darker grey.

    ITS ALMOST INVINCIBLE right now.

Wondering how many users just never use it and create their own workaround?
if you’re one of them let us know!

  • Hello  @jetgadget, thank you for your feedback and for contributing to the conversation. I’ll send your feedback along to the team as well.

At Day One, we take feedback from users very seriously, and hearing that other users would like this design changed helps us prioritize considering a change here.

Still waiting for a resolution to this issues. Sincerely hope the designers would darken the grey or find some other way to make the “quote block” stand out!

Personally, I think it’s fine the way it is… 👌

    Tastes, colors… 😉
