Clock & TimeZone doesn’t work property – Windows App

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hello,

I’m located in Australia, and using the DayOne app on Windows. When i choose a day/time, it shows inconsistently – eg. if I choose 6/1/2025 (6th Jan) – at 9am, it will save as 5/1/2025 (5th Jan) – ie. 10 hrs earlier.

My timezone is “Australia East” on Windows 11.

  • Hi @grumpywookie,

Day One for Windows should reflect the timezone and clock that your device is set to. Go to Settings > Time & language > Date & time, toggle off “Set time automatically,” and click “Change” to manually adjust, or keep automatic settings on for updates; you can also right-click the clock on the taskbar and select “Adjust date/time” to access these options directly.

For time zone, toggle “Set time zone automatically” on or off, or select it from the dropdown menu in the same settings area, ensuring location services are enabled for automatic setting.

No, it doesn’t work ! My clock/windows is correct.

    Today – currently in Australia – 2pm 23/01/2026.

When I click “set to yesterday” – the calendar picker shows “21st”.
But – the DATE below the picker is correct.

When I click on the CALENDAR – it set it wrong. Eg. click on “1st” – and it chooses “2nd”

  • Hi @grumpywookie,

There was a bug in the date picker, which has been fixed last weekend.

Would you check and let us know if you’re still seeing the issues on your end?

I recommend restarting the Windows app in case the old version/data is preserved.

Thanks – that’s working now – I knew it was a bug, and not just going crazy !

Thanks for fixing the bug – awesome !

  • Haha, thanks for the confirmation @grumpywookie :))
