Can’t restore day one from time machine

  my Day One is behaving weirdly. I have restored 5U8NS4GX82.dayoneapp2 from a time machine. I then open Day One and all the data is there. As soon as I try to do anything with Day One suddenly the journal entries disappear and a new blank journal appears. Driving me crazy!

  Any suggestions?
