Can’t Link Journal Entries inside Day One
-
Day One Android App is not recognizing MarkDown. As the article says, https://dayoneapp.com/guides/tips-and-tutorials/linking-journal-entries/, I did. But, the app can’t recognize the Markdown syntax.
Plus, in Add Link button, http:// is always added in prefix of any link. This is good. But, when I paste Entry Link, http:// is also added and the link redirect to browser.
I can’t link my entries with other inside DayOne app. Please tell me what I can do? or remove the by default http:// prefix from add Link button.
and please update the article for others.

Hello! Thanks very much for your report. You are correct; the article appears outdated. We have made some changes to the editor in Day One on Android over the past months, and it appears to have changed the way the Markdown links behave. We will let our team know and update the help article. Thanks!

What is the status on this? I’m facing the same issue and unfortunately, I haven’t found a workaround either to link journal entries.

I’ve found a solution for this. If you edit the copied link from
dayone2://todayone://, the Add Link button does not add https:// in front of the URL anymore and the link leads to the other entry as expected.
