Can’t delete media on laptop … only on iphone

I am trying to delete media when using Day One on my MacBook Air. I’ve acted according to instructions given for deleting media in an entry but nothing is working. There’s no way to “paint” the media that I want to delete, so the only option I see is to have the cursor line alongside the media (have tried alongside both top and bottom of media) then do a “control + click” and then select “cut” from the dropdown menu. Nothing happens. I can, however, delete the media from my phone app easily. Help??

I see the same abnormal behavior. It’s not just you or your journal.
That used to work. Looks like a recently introduced anomaly.
