Can’t create blank entries anymore

I’ve been using Day One for over ten years and in the busyness of life, sometimes I don’t have time to write entries as life happens. I worked around this by creating blank “placeholder” entries, then coming back and filling in the details later. For example, I’d go into my “Today” view, select a location I’d spent some time at, create a new entry from it and hit Done. It would create the entry, even without any text or photos in it, and in seeing the location of the entry at a later time, it would jog my memory of where I’d been and what I’d done and at that point, I would take the time to write out the details I wanted to in the entry and consider it finished.
Now, it seems as though I can’t create blank entries at all. I’ve tried it from the location section of the Today view, and from the big “new entry” plus sign on the home page, and neither generates an entry unless I either add a photo or type in some text. The window comes up with space to type, but when I hit Done the entry doesn’t actually exist. Is this a bug or is this how Day One works now?

I tried a couple of minutes ago and I was still able to create a blank entry from + sign.
Maybe you should send this to support.
