Cannot contact or reach support with a bug problem

    There is a bug in the software that doesn’t allow me disable the ‘events’ window in my journal (which is filled with garbage text in a weirdly formatted window). Apparently there should be a button at the bottom which would allow me to alter this view, but it doesn’t appear. Also, I am unable to contact support. Clicking the button in settings takes me to a web page that tells me access support through settings. It’s just a frustrating loop. The help bot produces the same result so I’m posting here, hoping I can get someone to help.

  • In order to disable Events, you need to go to your Mac’s System Settings -> Privacy & Security -> Calendars, then toggle off the permission for Day One.

    Regarding contacting support, I’ve shared your feedback about this with our developers.
     
    In the meantime, using the “Email Diagnostics” button should open up your Mac’s email client so you can contact us with fewer steps. It also has the added benefit of giving us diagnostics from your app to help us troubleshoot any issues you might be experiencing with it.
