Can you have subjournals within a journal?

I have a travel journal that I use for all of my trips. Most of my entries fit onto one page. For one of my trips, however, I added a lot of photos, requiring me to create additional entries for the same trip. Is there a way to add a journal within my trip journal to contain all the entries for this trip? For example, I named my travel journal Travels. I took a trip to Europe and created several entries to contain all the photos I wanted to add. If I could add a subfolder to Travels and add the entries to that, it would be less cluttered and more organized. Thanks

    Hi there!

Can you have subjournals within a journal?

That’s a great request! That is not a feature that we currently offer, but I would be happy to forward your request to the team for consideration.

Using Tags for journal entries is a possible option to further organize your trips: https://dayoneapp.com/guides/day-one-for-android/tagging-guide/

While I am not able to provide detailed information on the point of time of any new release, I invite you to check the following for future feature announcements.

I have the same situation and this was the solution that works for me: one Travel journal but then separate tags with the trip place/year (e.g. Paris 2023 or Seville 2022 etc). And then if I need to do anything with just the entries from a specific trip I can filter by the tag.

Thanks! That is what I am going to try. Still hopeful that my suggestion will one day make it into the code!
