Can we have a link feature
-
Linking a journal entry to another journal entry.
Apple notes now have this as a new feature in IOS17 – pretty cool. -
Thanks, @andyhaywood. There is a way to get a link from one entry and paste into another entry. See here: https://dayoneapp.com/guides/tips-and-tutorials/linking-journal-entries
Will that work for you?

Hello! I agree with @andyhaywood this would be excellent. An option of embedding links to other entries with EASE on macOS – such as the way Apple Notes or Obsidian do it…using [ or >> to bring up a list of entries]
This would be amazing! It’s incredibly frustrating having to manually get links from other pages to paste into the one one is writing in. PLEASE can you look into this, your customers would LOVE IT

I tried the tutorial on the link provided on an Android device, following the android device section instructions and instead of jumping to the entry in question it did nothing. when I pasted it into a link it took me to the chrome browser with a blank page

Hello @asandwichlater,
Linking entries is not yet available on Android. We had to delay Android development for a period but the team has put together a roadmap for Android improvements and have begun working on them as quickly as possible. Thanks for your patience and understanding as we continue to provide a great journaling experience across all of our platforms in the quickest and best way possible.
