Can I format the title of a new Day One entry using Apple Shortcuts?

I created an Apple Shortcut on my Mac and iPhone to make a new entry on Day One with the current day and date as the title and the current time below the title. It works, but for some reason, the title is not formatted as such. It appears as normal text. No bold, no larger font. Ugh.

Is there a way to use Apple Shortcuts to format title text for a Day One entry?

I didn’t find a way to create a Day One Template to prepopulate the title with the current day and date, followed by the current time below the title.

    Thanks for any help.

    Here’s the Shortcut:

    Current Date

Format Date (Date Format: Custom, EEEE, MMM dd, yyyy)

Set Variable ‘Date’ to Formatted Date

    Text ‘Date’

Change Text to Capitalize with Title Case

Set Variable ‘Title’ to Updated Text

    Nothing

    Current Date

Format Date (Date Format: None, Time Format: Short)

Set Variable ‘Time’ to Formatted Date

    Text ‘Time’

    Change Text to lowercase

Set Variable ‘Subtitle’ to Updated Text

    Nothing

    Text ‘Title’ (new line) ‘Subtitle’

(Day One) Create entry with Text

Kindly disregard. I just figured it out. It was so simple, too. All I needed to do was add a single hashtag (#) and a space before the ‘Title’ on the last Text field. Please feel free to use and enjoy the shortcut. Thank you all the same.

Thanks for posting and following up! We are glad to hear that using Markdown (#) helped. We hope your posts may help others in the future.
